We went to see Mamma Mia again last night - this time, not 'the movie', but 'la pelicula'. Yes folks, we saw it in Spanish, at a marvellous old-style cinema called Palafox. It has steeply-raked seating and ushers in tailcoats. Very smart.
And I did learn a new bit of Spanish. You know in English we sometimes type . . .
to indicate suspense or continuation. In Spanish these are called 'puntos suspensivos'. Impressive hey?
The movie is still cringeingly cheesy and is destined to become a cult classic.
