Moonrise

I am a bit of a luney when it comes to taking pictures of the moon. I like trying to do it, but it's a bit tricky when your camera doesn't have Hubble Space Telescope mode. I'd just started eating my dinner on the terrace this evening when my eye was caught by an orange blob in the sky behind an illuminated church spire. I grabbed my camera and took a load of photos as the moon rose. Two of them were more or less in focus:

The church in the foreground is in Calle de Goya, and it has a quite unusual cast-iron spire.

Beautiful!

I love the moon when it's orange/red.

The last night we were in Iceland, I looked out the window just on midnight and a blood-red half moon was rising. Unfortunately it was too far away for me to photograph and soon disappeared behind the clouds.

Love the first one Keef, the second one is a bit too much overexposed.

Is that the church on Goya that still has the plaque dedicated to Jose Antonio....or wait, was it Primo de Rivera?
